The role!
Position: Day Program Lead Skills Instructor
Location: Wakefield, MA
Pay rate: $21.00 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday (8am-4pm)

The Day Program Lead Skills Instructor is an integral role in our Day Services Program that is responsible for teaching adaptive daily living skills to individuals with developmental disabilities along with overseeing other employees. This is a great opportunity to work in a position to develop supervisory skills. Successful applicants will possess creative thinking skills to adapt personal interests (art, music, cooking, health & fitness, etc.) into teaching curriculum.
- Participating in the development and direct implementation of curriculum to teach groups in both a classroom setting and out in the community.
- Participating in the development and implementation of the Individual Support Plan, writing annual assessments and goals, and attending team meetings as scheduled.
- Developing and implementing community-based activities that promote personal choice, community inclusion, dignity, and respect while enhancing personal skill development.
- Providing support and guidance to Skills Instructors
- Provide personal care and assistance to individuals consistent with individual needs as they strive to reach their goals
- High School diploma required (BA degree in Human Services or related field preferred)
- At least 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is preferred
- A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Must pass company background and reference checks
