The role!

Position: Career Services Assistant Director
Location: Woburn, MA
Pay rate: $24.00 per hour, salaried exempt position
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday (8am-4pm)

Summary & Responsibilities

The Assistant Director is a hybrid leadership and direct service role overseeing Career Services operations while maintaining an active caseload. This position supports community-based employment and skill building support services, supervises staff, and ensures compliance with Communitas, DDS and MAP policy requirements. 
  • Assisting in hiring, supervising, evaluating, and training staff. Conducting annual performance evaluations of employees supervised. Addressing performance issues proactively and in line with agency policy, including the Career Services Director and Director of Day Services as necessary or required.
  • Assist in overseeing daily Career Services operations including scheduling, staffing coverage, service delivery and daily attendance.
  • Establish and monitor ongoing employment and job placement goals.
  • Maintain active caseload and build professional, person-centered relationships with people supported, families and ISP team members. Plan for and participate in ISP meetings, advocating for individual needs and contributing to department and individual outcomes.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum and daily schedules.
  • Provide personal care to individuals as needed.
  • Cover groups as required. 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred. Two or more years’ experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is required.
  • A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must
  • Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must pass company background and reference checks
